Established in 2007, Unbound Travel Group is a collection of specialist tourism brands focused on highly curated private touring and small group journeys across Asia.

Based in Australia, the Unbound Travel team draws on deep on the ground experience and long-standing local relationships to design journeys that feel considered, well-paced and culturally grounded.

Founded by Lincoln Harris, an Asia destination specialist with more than two decades of experience, the group was created to offer travellers thoughtful alternatives to mass market touring.

Asia Unbound

Asia Unbound brings the private touring approach to destinations across Asia beyond India and Sri Lanka. It offers tailor-made journeys in countries such as Japan, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand and beyond, designed for travellers seeking flexibility, local insight and high-quality experiences across multiple regions. Asia Unbound builds on the group’s long-standing expertise while expanding the geographic scope of private travel offerings.

India Unbound

India Unbound is the group’s original and flagship brand, specialising exclusively in private tailor-made journeys throughout India. Every itinerary is designed from scratch around the traveller’s interests, pace and travel style, with a strong emphasis on regional depth, cultural context and meaningful local encounters. The focus is on flexibility, expert guiding and carefully chosen accommodation, allowing guests to explore India in a way that feels personal and immersive.

Sri Lanka Unbound

Sri Lanka Unbound applies the same private touring philosophy to Sri Lanka, offering bespoke journeys that balance cultural sites, landscapes and wildlife with time to experience daily life. Private guides and drivers allow travellers to move at their own pace, whether that means exploring ancient cities, tea country, coastal regions or national parks, with itineraries shaped around individual interests rather than fixed routes.

Remarkable East

Remarkable East is the group’s small group touring brand, created for travellers who enjoy shared experiences while still valuing depth, comfort and a well paced itinerary. A range of scheduled small group tours operate each year, with set departure dates and a maximum of 12 guests per journey. Alongside these, there are occasional one off special interest departures such as art focused itineraries, walking journeys and cycling trips, shaped around the right season, the right route and the right local expertise.
